Equipping for safety: the essential PPE for your water jetting job

To ensure the safety of workers during water jetting tasks, it is vital that they use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) tailored and certified to the specific nature of their work. This gear must be supplied by either their employer or the contracting company, as per the terms specified in the contracts, to address any potential hazards. Given the high-risk nature of high-pressure water jetting, it is imperative that suitable PPE is consistently worn, regardless of the presence of other safety measures.

Employees are obligated to adhere to state regulations, company policies, or the specific requirements outlined in the work permit’s risk assessment when using or wearing this equipment. It is also crucial that workers refrain from any intentional misuse or damage to the PPE.
