With the support of national associations such as S3C, DIRV, SIR, WJA, and ALTAP, and international collaboration from WJTA and AUSJET, the group brings together expertise from different regions to establish a unified reference framework.

The main objective is to agree on clear role descriptions and responsibilities, outlining the training requirements, competencies, and safety standards needed for professionals at different levels of water jetting operations. By aligning the work of European associations with contributions from other parts of the world, the group aims to produce a practical and adaptable guide that can serve both as a tool for professional development and as a benchmark for companies and training providers.
Additionally, the group has worked on:
- Webinar about training models for water jetting activities in Europe
- Webinar about the need for training and education on the water jetting industry
Through this effort, the working group seeks to strengthen consistency across the sector, improve workforce qualifications, enhance safety, and support efficiency in day-to-day operations. The resulting guide is envisioned as a resource that can be applied internationally, promoting shared standards and advancing the overall professionalism of the water jetting industry.
