Construction applications, concrete removal and hydrodemolition

One of the sectors where pressurized water is used is construction, where there are a large number of applications. Materials such as concrete and steel, for example, see their capacities improved through pressurized water, which works its surface to generate the finishes that are needed.

In the case of the former, it also allows the repair or preparation for its protection, wherein a selective and controlled way, it allows the reinforcement to be left completely clean for subsequent operations.

Another application of pressurized water in construction is hydro-demolition, which overcomes the internal tensile strength of the concrete, causing surface micro-bursting that causes controlled extraction.

At this point it is important to point out that this system cannot be compared with other demolition techniques since they are completely different:

  • The working methodology
  • The results obtained

In the construction sector, moreover, much equipment used can extend its useful life with maintenance performed through preparation with high water pressure.
