Following a productive session of the Board of Directors, the European Water Jetting Institute (EWJI) has analyzed its recent successful participation at the IFAT exhibition in Munich, where the secretariat actively visited member stands and engaged with attendees. During this major industry event, the secretariat distributed copies of the 2025 Yearbook and promotional flyers to both existing members and potential partners. Looking forward to the next edition, preparation for the Yearbook 2026 is already underway, supported by strong initial commitments from several confirmed sponsors, including Hammelmann, TST, Aquajet, IBKA, Transfer Oil, Oskar Moser, Spir Star, and Woma.
To further boost interest and encourage broader participation for the upcoming edition, EWJI plans to publish a series of featured articles highlighting content from the current yearbook. In tandem with these promotional activities, the institute is heavily focusing on its key publications, notably the upcoming Industry Report. This edition, coordinated by Andrew Birt from Stoneage, introduces a streamlined approach featuring a simplified questionnaire of six to seven questions tailored specifically for asset owners, contractors, and manufacturers. Available in English, German, Spanish, and French, the survey aims to capture a broad, pan-European perspective on market sentiments, supplemented by anonymous, strategic interviews conducted with industry representatives across different countries.
Beyond the Industry Report, EWJI is finalizing the layout of the Guide on Roles, which is completed in content and expected to be released by the end of June. Additionally, other technical resources are progressing, such as the Guide on Vacuum Systems, which is undergoing an extended peer review by manufacturers to ensure expert validation, and a new project focused on a Guide on Pumps, which will center on energy efficiency and sustainability. Strategic planning is also well underway for the Annual Meeting 2027, with the Water Jetting Association (WJA) currently positioned as the primary candidate to host the gathering in September. While negotiations for potential venues are ongoing, the Annual General Meeting and the Awards Night are provisionally scheduled for September 17th and 18th, 2027, following a comprehensive two-day format that balances general assembly sessions, a special dinner, and facility tours.
To monitor the progress of these organizational milestones and review the institution’s stable financial standing, the Board of Directors has officially ratified that the next governance meeting will take place online on September 15th.
