DERC Salotech, a member of the European Water Jetting Institute (EWJI), has highlighted the capabilities of its DERC Speed Regulated Pipe Cleaner SPC-S, a compact rotary nozzle developed for high-pressure water jet cleaning of industrial pipes with multiple bends, elbows and challenging geometries.
Designed for pipe diameters ranging from 2″ to 4″ (DN50-DN100), the SPC-S has been developed to operate effectively in environments where conventional cleaning tools may struggle to navigate complex pipe configurations. Its short and compact design makes it particularly suitable for process lines featuring multiple changes in direction, including long-radius bends and U-bends.
One of the key features of the system is its adjustable rotation speed, allowing operators to adapt the cleaning performance to the type and severity of deposits encountered inside the pipe. The nozzle uses the reaction force generated by the water jets both to propel itself through the line and to rotate the cleaning head, helping deliver consistent cleaning performance.
The SPC-S is available in multiple configurations to accommodate different operational requirements. Alongside the standard version, DERC Salotech offers a high-flow model (SPC-S-HF) for more demanding cleaning applications and an ultra-high-pressure version (SPC-S-UH) capable of operating at pressures of up to 3,000 bar (43K) for the removal of particularly challenging deposits.
The nozzle forms part of the wider DERC SPC range, which also includes the SPC-M and SPC-L models for larger pipe diameters. The product family has been developed specifically for industrial pipe cleaning applications where reliable navigation through multiple elbows and changing pipe geometries is essential to maintaining cleaning effectiveness.
