New leadership at SIR: Lindsay Noteboom

The Industrial Cleaning Foundation (SIR), a leading organization in safety standards for the sector since 1989, will appoint Lindsay Noteboom as its new director starting January 2026. With a background in training and the petrochemical industry, Noteboom will lead efforts to strengthen collaboration among companies and further enhance workplace safety in industrial cleaning.

Under her leadership, SIR will continue promoting a culture of prevention, open incident reporting, and certified training that ensures high standards in areas such as high-pressure operations and respiratory protection. Noteboom also plans to drive innovation and address current challenges like digitalization and the energy transition, while keeping safety as the top priority.

With nearly 260 member companies, SIR remains a prime example of collective effort, demonstrating that safety in the sector depends on everyone working together to ensure all professionals return home safe and sound.
