The Board of Directors of the European Water Jetting Institute (EWJI) successfully convened today, September 15, 2026, to review association milestones, outline future strategic initiatives, and address executive governance.
A central and emotional moment of the board meeting was the official farewell to Hans Borgt, who is stepping down from his position as President of EWJI. The association and its leadership expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Hans for his dedicated service, leadership, and tireless efforts over the years to advance the institute and strengthen the high-pressure water jetting sector across Europe. EWJI extends its warmest wishes to Hans in his future endeavors.
Following the departure of Hans Borgt, the Board addressed the upcoming transition of the Board of Directors and the organizational structure that will guide EWJI into its next operational phase.
In addition to governance updates, the meeting highlighted ongoing association projects, technical publications, and strategic initiatives aimed at fostering industry collaboration and elevating safety standards across Europe.
Among the major announcements presented during today’s session was the confirmation of the EWJI Annual Meeting 2027. The association’s flagship event will take place on February 24–25, 2027, hosted at the facilities of Spir STAR. This gathering will offer members and industry professionals a dedicated platform for technical exchange, networking, and exploring the latest developments in high-pressure technology.
