Working together towards common goals

To be able to focus in several topics which are of interest for the industry, EWJI will start to work in 2017 through working groups.

The Water Jetting Industry is already very specialized in Europe.

In fact, there are several standards, regulations and industry agreements related to the different water jetting applications.

As Europe, and the World in general, becomes smaller and more connected, specialization on any activity needs to be a permanent effort, to search for the best practices, to improve health and safety, to watch for environmental aspects and to make sure the activity is sustainable, both for workers and companies.

And as the industry evolves quickly. EWJI needs to move on the very same rhythm, helping the water jetting companies, workers and associations from all over Europe.

If you are interested in any of the topics to be covered by the working groups, the best way to be updated on them is to take part actively.

To do so, EWJI proposes a very simple methodology. The association will send the information about the meetings to all its members and the public, asking for participants and support.

The general information about each meeting will be posted on the public area of EWJI’s website, and on that very same page, there will be a very simple form to sign up to the meeting.

Any member of EWJI International Committee and the National Associations may sign up directly. The companies that come as members of the National Associations will be required to have the approval of the association, just as an internal procedure.

Participation in the meetings is completely free of cost for all participants. EWJI will take care of the meeting facilities, lunch, coffees, and materials for the meetings in person.

Participants need to take care of their travel arrangements.

All the information and documents of the working group will be available in the private area of the website, so the members of the group can have easy access to all details.

The EWJI Secretariat will take part in every working group meeting to support the leader, prepare the minutes and follow up after with the necessary tasks.

For 2017, EWJI will host the following working groups (alphabetical order):

  • Asset integrity
  • Communication and marketing
  • Education and training
  • Environment
  • Equipment and technology
  • Health and Safety
  • Regulation
