Successful SIR general meeting in Stellendam
On June 18, Stellendam hosted another edition of the SIR General Participants’ Meeting, reaffirming its role as the key gathering point for the industrial cleaning sector. The event, marked by strong attendance and a vibrant atmosphere for networking and collaboration, brought together asset owners, contractors, suppliers, and training providers with a shared goal: to define the sector’s direction and reinforce its commitment to workplace safety.
During the meeting, Jürgen Matthyns announced that three positions on the board will soon become available, encouraging participants to take an active role in shaping strategic decisions. Martin van Teijlingen outlined the priorities for 2025, focusing on quality, assurance, and continuity, while Lindsay Noteboom presented a long-term vision through 2030, emphasizing collaboration, mechanization, and practical training as key pillars for the industry’s future.
The meeting also addressed the critical topic of safety, discussing the Dutch Safety Board (OVV) report on the fatal accident that occurred in 2023, a powerful reminder of the need for continuous improvement in this area. Additionally, new members INED Center and TIP Group were warmly welcomed into the SIR network.
For those who were unable to attend, the next SIR General Participants’ Meeting is scheduled for December 10, 2025.
