Sydney hosted the latest edition of AUSJET 2026 on 28 and 29 October, bringing together professionals from across the water jetting, drain cleaning, hydro excavation, industrial vacuum loading and infrastructure maintenance industries. Organised by our friends of Australasian High Pressure Water Jetting Association (AUSJET) and ADCVA, the event once again served as a focal point for industry collaboration, innovation and professional development.
Held at the Sydney Showground, the exhibition combined a strong conference programme with a large exhibition area featuring approximately 100 exhibitors showcasing the latest developments in water jetting, CCTV inspection, robotics, trenchless rehabilitation, industrial cleaning and environmental services.
One of the event’s key attractions was its extensive programme of live demonstrations, allowing visitors to see equipment operating in real-world conditions. Manufacturers and contractors showcased technologies designed to improve safety, productivity and operational performance across a wide range of applications. Companies including WOMA Australia, Hammelmann Australia, BlastOne, Bucher Municipal and KOR Equipment Solutions participated in the demonstration arena, highlighting developments in high-pressure and ultra-high-pressure water jetting, robotics and industrial cleaning solutions.
The event also featured an extensive educational programme covering topics such as workforce development, construction trends, drain cleaning safety, innovation and operational excellence. Particular attention was given to attracting the next generation of industry professionals through initiatives including the AUSJET NextGen Committee and the Guy Jellicoe Scholarship, which recognises practical innovation and fresh thinking among young professionals.
Alongside the technical content, networking remained a major component of the event, with dedicated gatherings bringing together contractors, equipment manufacturers, asset owners, utilities and service providers from across Australia. The co-location of AUSJET 2026 and the Liquid & Environmental Waste Expo (LEW26) further expanded opportunities for collaboration between related industries facing common challenges around safety, productivity, asset maintenance and workforce development.
Strengthening international industry connections
Events such as AUSJET continue to demonstrate the value of bringing together professionals from different regions to exchange knowledge, share experiences and explore new technologies. As the global water jetting sector evolves, opportunities for collaboration between associations, companies and industry leaders become increasingly important.
At the European Water Jetting Institute (EWJI) we are pleased to see the continued success of initiatives such as AUSJET, which contribute to raising standards, promoting innovation and supporting professional development across our industry. Strong international links help ensure that knowledge, technology and best practices continue to flow between water jetting communities around the world.
