Marking

  • Hose shall bear a factory marking specifying as minimum the manufacturer, nominal size, the maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP in bar or MPa) , and the date of manufacture (normally quarter/year)
  • Hose assembly shall bear a marking, preferably by engraving on the ferrule and/or marking sleeve, specifying as minimum the hose assembly manufacturer, the maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP in bar or MPa), the month and year of manufacture and the standard “EN 1829-2”.
  • No marking is required on an additional protection hose used to cover a water jetting hose offering further protection to manufactured hoses outer covering from abrasion. Marking on ferrule shall be visible.

Note 1: Working pressures of both hoses and fittings are limited. For the application of the hose assembly, it is not the pressure stated on the hose, but the pressure marked on the ferrule and/or marking sleeve that is relevant.
